FROM THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE OF GCDC 2020

We would like to welcome everyone to the fourth Global Cardio Diabetes Conclave 2020 to be held on the 19th and 20th December 2020. Under the auspices of the Indo Global Cardio Diabetes, the conference will span over two days, with scientific updates being delivered by eminent speakers over two halls.

This conference promises to be unique in various ways. The most important being the Digital Platform in line with the social distancing norms. This year, with the virtual medium, the outreach of the GCDC is extending from a national to a global level. Now distance is not a factor which will enhance the scientific content with leading national and international experts highlighting various aspects of the cardio-diabetes specialty. The forum is distinctive in bringing together clinicals from the various faculties of Diabetes, Cardiology and Internal Medicine, sharing knowledge to address cardio-diabetes as a single entity.

The theme of the conference is Digital Cardio Diabetes Outreach which is in sync with the pulse of current medicine practices throughout the country. With telemedicine rapidly becoming the norm, the conference promises to address the numerous aspects of Digital Medicine in context of health monitoring for patient with diabetes and with cardiac ailments, thus improving healthcare of patients, particularly in times of limited availability of recourses.

With the medium of lectures, symposia, case discussions, debates, workshops and panel discussions, the assorted aspects of cardio-diabetes will be highlighted. The hand-picked faculty consists of leading experts from India and overseas. With special focus on education and students, there will be a special Master Teachers Class after the scientific session on the last day.

With these words, the entire committee of the fourth GCDC 2020 hope that this conference will help all the delegates expand their mental horizon and partake in the feast of knowledge.
